CENTCOM: 2,000 targets hit, no Iranian naval threat to Gulf shipping
The commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) released an update stating that U.S. forces have struck 2,000 targets since the start of Operation Epic Fury, the American name for Operation “Roaring Lion.”
In a recorded statement published on CENTCOM’s X account, it was said that U.S. forces have so far sunk 17 Iranian ships and a submarine, and that no Iranian vessels currently threaten shipping in the Gulf.
“Iran’s ability to harm us and our allies is steadily diminishing,” the statement said.
