Bill to bring Oct. 7 attackers to trial passes first Knesset reading
The Knesset plenum approved overnight a bill to put participants in the October 7 massacre on trial, introducing special legal procedures for the cases.
The law allows courts to deviate from standard rules of evidence, mandates live broadcasts of the trials, and bars convicted perpetrators from being included in any future prisoner-release deals.
Justice Minister Yariv Levin said an “unprecedented preparatory effort” has been completed and that indictments are already ready.
