At Venezuelan president's request, Israeli mission to extend stay by two weeks
The Israeli delegation dispatched to Venezuela after the earthquake will stay in the country for an additional two weeks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's approval, the Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.
The extension is intended to allow interim President Delcy Rodríguez to begin implementing the national reconstruction plan formulated by Israeli experts.
The two countries have had no diplomatic ties since 2009.
