Anti-draft protesters block Highway 1 at entrance to Jerusalem
Dozens of Haredi protesters blocked Highway 1 at the entrance to Jerusalem on Monday as part of demonstrations against military conscription.
The protest caused heavy traffic congestion in the capital and along access routes to the city. Demonstrators also blocked Highway 38 from Beit Shemesh toward Jerusalem, but were later dispersed by police.
