Ahmad Tibi confirms Joint List in talks with Change bloc: ‘I hope they have enough courage’
Ta’al chairman Ahmad Tibi confirmed that the Joint List is in talks with Israel’s change bloc about helping establish an alternative government following the elections.
“We prevented Netanyahu from forming a government by creating a blocking bloc,” Tibi said, adding that Arab voters want their representatives to influence the country’s political future.
Tibi said the Joint List was extending a hand to the change bloc to help replace the current government, although he acknowledged that the party was unlikely to become a formal coalition partner.
He added that the Joint List was open to discussing parliamentary cooperation and voting arrangements to advance a change of government and address issues affecting Arab communities, including crime, home demolitions, infrastructure and incitement.
