Ahead of Rafah crossing reopening, Israel and Egypt discuss passage quotas

Israel and Egypt are clashing over daily quotas at the Rafah Crossing ahead of its expected reopening Sunday, Kan News reported Wednesday.

Egypt demands equal daily entries and exits, while Israel seeks a higher number of exits—about 150 out and 50 in. Cairo fears the move would encourage long-term emigration from Gaza, which it views as a red line.
