After ‘genocide’ claim, Turkish boxer defeated by Israeli rival in boxing ring
Ahavat Hashem Gordon, a 19-year-old Israeli Muay Thai fighter, defeated Turkey’s Ali Koyuncu on Saturday at a UTMA Association event in Lithuania, winning by technical knockout after two rounds, Kan News reported Sunday.
The fight followed days of public exchanges, during which Koyuncu accused Israel of “genocide in Gaza.” Despite the tensions, the two embraced after the match, with Gordon wrapped in an Israeli flag and wearing a kippah.
The win keeps Gordon’s perfect professional record at 11–0, as he is reportedly aiming for a future move to the UFC.
