35-year-old Israeli man killed in Samaria shooting attack
A 35-year-old man was killed on Thursday morning in a shooting attack on the road between Shavei Shomron and Einav, near the town of Beit Lid in Samaria.
As a result of the attack, the victim’s vehicle overturned. Gunshot wounds were found on his body.
IDF forces have began the pursuit of the terrorists and are blocking roads in the area.
“Just the other day we demanded that this road from Nablus, which leads towards Einav, be closed to traffic,” Samaria Council head Yossi Dagan said in response.
“Unfortunately, after two days of pleading, after another shooting attack that was already here, we received an incomplete blockade [of the road] and not a full check. We are paying in blood here.”
The IDF spokesman, who issued a statement at the same time, in reference to the attack, reported: “The IDF is very busy countering terrorism in Judea and Samaria,” and that the incident “will continue this weekend, as well.”
