31 premature babies evacuated from Shifa Hospital to Emirates Crescent Hospital in Rafah
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced on its Facebook page the evacuation of 31 premature babies from the Al-Shifa Hospital Complex in Gaza City on Sunday afternoon.
Red Crescent ambulance crews evacuated the babies through safe corridors to the southern Gaza Strip, for transfer to the Emirates Crescent Hospital in Rafah.
The transfer happened in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
The IDF announced this morning that it would assist in the transfer of the remaining patients and medical staff from Shifa Hospital during the “tactical pause” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., however, Palestinian media did not include this information in its reporting.
