24-year-old Israeli injured in stabbing attack in Jordan Valley
A 24-year-old Israeli man was moderately injured this morning after he was stabbed near the Palestinian town of Auja, north of Jericho.
The assailant fled the scene after stabbing the Israeli, and security forces are searching the area to locate him.
According to initial reports, the man stopped in at a store along Highway 90, which runs north-south along the Jordan Valley for shopping. He was attacked by a Palestinian man who stabbed him several times before fleeing the scene.
IDF special forces were dispatched to the scene and are searching for the assailant.
