12 kites, 4 balloons from Gaza landed in Israel this month - report
Twelve kites and four balloons launched in the Gaza Strip landed on the Israeli side of the border this month alone, according to a report by Channel 12 News.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed there would be zero tolerance for any kind of projectile launched at Israel, noting that kites and balloons were used in the past to cause fires and destroy large areas of agricultural land.
According to the report, the phenomenon already began last month, when nine kites were found in Israel.
The report's author, journalist Almog Boker, commented: "The terrorist organization in the Strip exercises absolute control over Gaza, and it is the one leading the launching of the kites."
