100 Israeli rioters disrupt return of Palestinian family displaced by ‘nationalist crime,’ IDF says
More than 100 Israeli rioters attacked Israeli security forces and torched Palestinian property in the Samaria village of Jalud overnight Monday, the IDF said.
The violence disrupted an IDF-led effort to return a Palestinian family to its home after what the military described as “several incidents of nationalist crime against them.”
According to the statement, the rioters blocked roads, set tires on fire and hurled rocks at security forces. They also set fire to Palestinian-owned structures, vehicles and other property.
Two suspects were detained for questioning, and security forces dispersed the rioters. The IDF said investigators would return to gather evidence and testimony as the investigation continues.
