15 injured in Ein Gedi rockslide near the Dead Sea
Fifteen people were injured in a rockslide at the Ein Gedi National Park this morning.
One man is said to be in serious condition, and a 4-year-old girl was said to be in moderate condition. Several other hikers sustained mild injuries.
Magen David Adom (MDA) treated 4 people for injuries, and there are reportedly 10 people trapped by the rockslide that took place near the Nahal David waterfall.
MDA and Israel Air Force helicopters arrived at the scene to assist in removing injured from the site due to the difficult terrain.
The Nature and Parks Authority announced the Ein Gedi site is closed while the hikers are being evacuated.
