Recognize His Sacrifice: The Fight to Honor a Lone Soldier Lost to PTSD

After serving 748 days as an IDF sniper, lone soldier Joshua Boone was found dead just days after being released from reserve duty. Diagnosed with severe PTSD, his family and friends say his death was a direct result of the trauma he endured in service.

Because he did not fall in active combat, the state has so far refused to recognize him as a fallen soldier — denying him burial at Mount Herzl. His loved ones are now fighting for what they believe is a basic act of honor and justice.
