This year, Purim looks different across Israel.

With security tensions forcing many people to remain near protected spaces, celebrations moved into bomb shelters and safe rooms across the country.

But even under threat, Israelis refused to give up the joy of the holiday. Costumes, music, and laughter filled shelters as families and communities brought the Purim spirit into the safest places available.
