In the middle of uncertainty, there is one word you hear every day here in Israel: Shalom. Peace. But there’s more to it! I’m Kayla Sprague with All Israel News with your weekly prayer points. It’s how people greet one another. It’s how they say hello. And every time they say it, they are speaking a blessing over someone else. But Shalom means more than the absence of conflict. It speaks of wholeness, completeness, restoration, and well-being. And here in Jerusalem, the City of Peace, that word carries a deeper significance. Because today, this city and this region continue to walk through tension and constant uncertainty. Families are carrying fear. Communities are waiting and watching to see what will happen next. None of us know what tomorrow will bring. Yet even in the middle of tension, people continue to speak peace. And as believers, we are reminded that true peace does not come from circumstances—it comes from the presence of God. Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” (John 14:27) So this week, let’s pray for the peace that only God can bring.
