A Ukrainian family who fled war in search of healing was killed in an Iranian missile strike on the Israeli city of Bat Yam. Among the victims was young Nastya Burik, who had come to Israel for cancer treatment. Her mother, grandmother, and two cousins also died in the attack. They weren’t soldiers. They were civilians—caught in a conflict they didn’t choose.
